Dog fouling in Melling
We know that dog fouling is a problem in a lot of towns and villages country wide and Melling has also found this problematic over the past few years. Extra posters have been put up around the parish in the hope that dog walkers will take note but in addition to this the Parish Council has written to the Secretary of state asking him to consider the introduction of a law requiring dog walkers to visibly carry a bag for the purpose of disposal of dog "poop". Locally the Parish Council will be funding "Operation Collar" aimed at apprehending and prosecuting offenders.
